Pee Wee


The Illinois State Pee Wee contest is normally held at noon during the Illinois State Contest. There is no charge to participate in the contest. The ages are girls 6 to 9 , girls 10 to 12, boys 6 to 9 and boys 10 to 12. The length of the contest is 1 to 2 minutes depending on the number of entries.


The Pee Wee contest started in 1984 at the Warren County Corn Husking Contest held on the Bill Gillen Farm near Monmouth Illinois. It  was adopted as part of state contest in 1986 and has become one of the larger classes . There are over 30 entries  now trying to become State Champions. For one minute ears, shucks and some times stalks are tossed into the wagon.
