Laurel Hennenfent, Andrew Hennenfent and Bill Vedder
The Illinois cornhusking team won the National Cornhusking
Championship October 21,2001 at Gilfillan, Minnesota with a total of 11
points out of the 33 possible. Iowa placed second with 10 points.
The Illinois team took 4 first place trophies. Laurel
Hennenfent 1st place Young Women up to 20 years old. Andrew Hennenfent
1st place Young Men up to 20 years old. Bill Vedder 1st place Men's 50
and up. Tammy Eindfed 1st place Women 21 to 50.
